Packing & rider handover
Scan items into each box so wrong or missing items are caught before it's sealed, and scan each parcel as the rider takes it.
Two scans stop the most common warehouse problems: the wrong item in the box, and parcels that go missing between packing and the rider. Both work with a phone camera or a barcode gun.
Packing check
Open Packing:
- Scan the parcel's airway bill. The order's items appear.
- Scan each item as it goes into the box. Each scan ticks it off.
- If a scanned item isn't on the order (wrong size or colour), it shows in red: don't seal the box.
- When every item is ticked, the box is ready to seal.
Items are matched by SKU or barcode, so make sure your products have them in your store.
Rider handover
When the courier's rider comes to collect, open Rider handover:
- Choose the courier account.
- Scan each parcel as the rider takes it.
- Whatever is still on the list when the rider leaves didn't go.
No more arguments about "I gave it" and "I never got it": you have a record of every parcel handed over, and when.
Who can do this
In Settings > Team, give packers the Packing check and Rider handover permissions. They don't need access to orders or customers for this. See Team & permissions.
Questions
Do I need a barcode scanner?
No. The phone camera works. A barcode gun is faster if you pack many parcels a day.
A parcel was handed over but isn't on the list. Why?
It may be booked on another courier account, or not booked yet. The scan tells you which.
